The Sri Lanka Navy says that 40 relief teams have been placed in areas that are currently at risk of being flooded. These teams have been deployed to areas in Trincomalee, Batticaloa, Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa, Navy Media Spokesman Commander Kosala Warnakulasuriya stated.


Additional services teams have also been positioned at Navy camps in those areas as a safety precaution incase a critical situation arises, he further expressed.
