Sri Lanka minister shaves head for Buddhism
 
 Minister of Power and Energy Patali Champika Ranawaka and several others including Western Provincial Council Minister Udaya Gammanpila, National Organizer Nishantha Sri Warnasinghe and a large number of Jathika Hela Utumaya (JHU) members had their heads shaved at the Sadaham Sevana temple in Rajagiriya today (May 08) and will observe Dasa Sil (ten Buddhist percepts) for 10 days. The heads were shaved ceremoniously as a sacrifice to mark the 2600th Sambuddathwa Jayanthiya.
