International Cricket Council (ICC) to conduct an inquiry on Sri Lankan opener Upul Tharanga who was tested positive for banned drugs

  .Sri Lanka Cricket  officials said he will not be included for the upcoming Sri Lankan matches including England and Australia match series.

  However Tharanga was back to the Sport Ministry for the second time to face inquiry and three member committee headed by Dr Geethanjana Mendis  who is the  Chairman of the Anti doping council  of the Sri Lanka. Reliable sources said Tharanga was replied to the inquiry party and said he has taken drugs to prevent cough . It was not a serious cough  and he was used to get cough syrup from the Pharmacy.

   However reliable sources said Tharanga has taken Pedniceylon  drug which is given to cough , asthma and joint pains normally.

However real story was Eliyantha White the official doctor of the President Mahinda Rajapaksha  is the man behing the Upul Tharanga . He  has given drugs to  Tharanga before the World Cup final .  Actually Eliyantha White gave this drugs for the joint pains and Tharanga was keen to get this drugs.  Normally Eliyantha White gives this drugs to get quick action and he used to mixed with Sinhala drugs and western  drugs like Pednicylon .

   Pednicylon is among the doping drugs list and if Tharanga   will be named  positive for the doping he should banned for the one year or two year. As that result Tharanga would out form cricket with this blame . How ever who is going to get responsible for Tharanga’s incident . Sport Minister said If any player get positive for the doping ,the player, coach and the doctor all three have to face difficulties with punishment . However Dr Geethanjana Mendis  is trying to avoid this incident to  favor Eliyantha White   said reliable sources .
